FamR&Love
So my professor was talking about relationships. He described all these different kinds of relationships, he talked about different kinds of love and what the theories are based off of and so forth. One of the types of love that he discussed was what he called “Romantic Love” he said that this is the kind of love that we see in movies, the tears, the effort, dedication, passion, rough hott sex etc. He went on to say that this is the type of love that many people dream about and although it may last, it’s more the fantasy that we’re fulfilling rather than our needs and we tend to block out the reality of it all. Another type of love was “Companionate Love.” This is the type of love that’s built on a solid friendship and remains that way throughout the years. He said that although the “fire” might die (in means of sex) the relationship and strength of the bond is still there and will still be there years from now. The last type of love that he discussed was “Consummate Love.” This is a relationship with a balance of commitment, passion and intimacy. He didn’t explain much simply because this is what many people would LIKE to have but struggle with making the effort to actually get this far. .. Idk I was just thinking about it. Love isn’t just love, it’s what you make of it. What you put in and what you take out, sacrifice and so much more. Like many people say it’s something you just can’t explain. ..
